Terms and Conditions of Booking

BOOKING YOUR EVENT

Kids parties (i.e. Birthdays/Christenings)

Once we have agreed the date, time and fee for your event, you will be asked to pay a booking fee of £15. Upon receipt of your booking fee, and the venue details, you will be sent a booking confirmation by email. Please check this and let Debra know if there is anything that needs changing.

This confirms your booking and we ask that you make note of our cancellation policy below.

The balance of monies will be due in cash on the day.

Fundraisers/Community Events

For fundraisers, we also ask for a 50% booking fee with the balance being payable in cash on the day.

BUSINESS & CHARITY BOOKINGS

Once we have agreed the date, time and fee for your booking, I will send details to arrange for a booking fee to be paid (if applicable) or request details to enable me to raise an invoice. I will also email a booking confirmation, a copy of my insurance, DBS and risk assessment (if required).

Direct Bookings: If you have come to us directly, we will invoice you for payment in advance of the event – please let us know your businesses payment terms so that we can invoice in enough time. We ask that monies are paid to us up to 7 days before the event.*

PopTop Bookings: If you have come via PopTop then a booking fee is payable (as we have to pay a fee to PopTop in order to confirm the booking).  For most bookings, this will be £25. However, it is an outdoor event or fundraiser, it will be 50% of the quoted amount. The balance will then be due up to 7 days before your event and can be paid via bank transfer, cheque or PayPal (fees are added for paypal payments).*

*For last minute bookings, we ask that payment is made with 7 days of the date of the invoice.

ON THE DAY OF YOUR EVENT

  1. Please provide a table and 2 chairs and have them ready for when your face painter arrives. If you cannot provide us with a table and chairs, please let us know so that we can bring some along.
  2. For outdoor events, you must be able to provide a stable gazebo or other shelter to protect our face painters from the elements.
  3. Where possible, please ensure that our face painters can be near to toilet facilities.
  4. For public events, I will display a disclaimer which you can view here.
  5. For all events, I will display a sign to explain that face painting is for over 2’s only.

OUTDOOR EVENTS

If your event will be held outdoors, and there is no ‘wet weather’ back-up plan, then we shall require a 50% booking fee for ALL bookings. This is non-refundable in the event of last minute cancellation due to the weather.

For all outdoor events, we ask that you provide shelter from the elements.

CANCELLATIONS

We do have to turn down a lot of work, so we ask that if you need to change or cancel your booking, you provide us with as much notice as possible. If you cancel within 28 days of your booking date, we reserve the right to request a minimum of 50% payment of the outstanding balance. If you cancel within 14 days of your booking date, then we reserve the right to ask for the full outstanding balance to be paid.
