Back in 2010, I was feeling frustrated with my old business, working ridiculous hours and feeling completely unfulfilled. I realised that I wanted to do something more fun and creative! Face painting wasn’t something I’d ever considered, but a few people mentioned it and I thought I’d find out more. I started out doing some events for free, built this website and since then, the business has gone from strength to strength.
Early in 2017, I decided that it was time to branch out and start exploring other ideas that I had, such as art and craft workshops, creating my own products and designs, and tutoring others in face painting.
Realising that I was limited by my former trading name (Midlands Face Painting) I changed it to Purple Bee Creative. Why? Well, it’s simple…I love Purple, Debra means “Bee”, and yes, I’m pretty Creative!
As well as running my creative business, I’m doing a Degree with the Open University, and I have a few clients through my local Administrative Support & Book Keeping business too. This keeps me busy Monday – Thursday (though I do sometimes have Monday as a day off!).
